Restaurant We Love- Baodown, Olympic Village
February 17, 2016
Baodown, a Gastown fave for late night "bao" (savoury Taiwanese stuffed buns), has just opened a second outpost, this one is a Gastropub/Raw-bar concept at 115 West 2nd Ave (check out the full story at VancouverOlympicVillageCondos.com)!
The 67-seat restaurant offers lunch, dinner and weekend brunch (Hawaiian-style, think macadamia pancakes!) and expands on the limited bao bun and sandwich selections at the original location; they also have Hawaiian-style pokes (tofu, tuna, lobster), fresh oysters, curries, bao platters, bone broths, lobster pho, kimchi and pineapple fried rice, and plenty more! From the bar, red and white wine on tap, local craft beers, bottled Asian import beers, and a cocktail menu showcasing Asian-fusion creations.
Baodown Gastropub + Rawbar is open for lunch, dinner and late night snacks...and did I mention the 90's/hiphop playlist?
